Frida Khalo's 'Blue House'

I was so excited about going to see the 'Blue House'. I have been enamoured by the work and also lifestyle of one of Mexico's now most loved artist. The 'Blue House' is an open exhibition of Frida Khalo's House and studios and offers some of her acclaimed paintings as well as rough sketches and sometimes uncompleted pieces, there is also a fantastic display of family portraits. I paticuarly liked the paper-mache sculptures that were dotted around the house, and so many inspiring examples of Mexican handicraft that Frida had collected - including embroidery. We spent the day enjoying the House and it's beautiful gardens - my favourite day so far.
